It has to be one of these guys no exceptions. Offer them the house etc, etc but it has to be one of these guys

neither will come here due to several other franchises having a much better situation than us, just the way it is right now. I would throw in Brady as a potential for us but I doubt hed come here either.

Saints opening falls anywhere from 4th-6th best opening, out of 6. Top candidates may not even consider an interview with the Saints until all of their other options are exhausted. And those currently with jobs, may elect to stay where they are and revisit next offseason.

And when they turn it down (Ben indirectly made it clear that he won't even interview here), do they just go without a HC next year?

Do you know what was said here and where? Not arguing genuinely curious because Johnson is #1 choice with Vrabol right behind

Said he will only take interviews with jobs he is highly interested in where ownership/GM/coach are all aligned.

Does that sound like the fricking Saints right now?

If it isn't, what will you do? I only ask because you are almost guaranteed to be disappointed.

He also said the GM must be able to admit the previous mistakes that got the franchise in the current state. Yeah, that ain't happening with Loomis.

The top names are not going to take this job brother. This isn't a desirable job. They're old, they're in cap hell and are set for a multi year rebuild period. The most desired guys can certain;y cherry pick and hold out for a job that offers a better situation. The Saints will likely have to settle for a less talked about coach who hangs around for a few years of the rebuild and then gets fired. The coach you really want, is probably the guy that comes after this hire.

Yea I know we probably not getting either guy but if you the Saints you have to show enormous interest in both and I don’t see that happening. Show some damn interest at least and make them an offer they can’t turn down.

1. Hire Joe Brady
2. Trade for Burreaux
3. Pack your bags, we’re going to the BOWL!

They’ve likely inquired and been turned down weeks ago. I doubt they want to make a big show of it to be rejected very publicly.

Ask yourself this, would you want to stake your career with Loomis making all the decisions
