Did any of you stop giving to the Salvation Army after their woke announcement in 2021?

We have a guy in our church who heads up the local Salvation Army Christmas collections (ie bell ringers outside of store) and he tells me that donations are down 30% since 2021.

Fox Business: Salvation Army's racism guide tells White Americans racism is 'systemic' and colorblindness is harmful. The guide also says Christians need to 'evaluate' racist attitudes and practices

I go to Wally World sometimes to get stuff for my dogs and they had a jingler guy out there ringing his bell. I asked him how it felt to be working for a grifting company who hates white people.

He had no idea what I was talking about

To answer your question, yes, I quit giving anything to them. They can go to hell as far as I'm concerned.

frick that guy. I would have kept giving him more shite if I were you. Sounds like he’s a huge piece of shite that’s trying to play dumb while he grifts the shite out of people.

It was some time well before 2021 when I went to a funeral and a Salvation Army "Chaplain" preached the funeral...

I also quit patronizing Goodyear, Target, Carhartt, and Dick’s, among others.

Yes.
I always gave money, couple bucks minimum, to them.
Haven’t given a dime since then.
Feel sorta bad for the people jingling Bells, as it’s not their fault, but remain steadfast.

I no longer feel a twinge of guilt walking by the bell ringers money bucket.

They used to be a decent charity. Haven’t given them a dime since the whole “white people suck” thing they did a few years ago.

Saint Barts, Saint Anthonys, Our Lady Of Fatima, that have food pantries year round are better suited for donations of money and food.

During Bidenomics they have drive -thrus wrapped down the street for folks needing help.

They aren't beggars, they can't pay their oil/gas furnace bill and eat with a job and 2 PT jobs.

I also think giving to Churches of all denominations- that have AA meetings NA meetings is a good cause.

Also paying for the person behind you in lines- grocery bill without them knowing.

A couple years ago, there were sheets of little cards you could print off to place in the red buckets. They said something to effect of “ in lieu of a financial donation to the Salvation Army, I give the gift of this card as an atonement for my white privilege.”

I wish I could find them again.

I haven't fricked with the Salvation Army since I did Community service for them in 2006 for a DWI.
