WR - lose CJ Daniels, replace with Barion Brown - UPGRADE

TE - lose K. Pimpton, replaced with Bauer Sharp - UPGRADE

CB - lose JK Johnson, replaced with J. Jackson - UPGRADE

Edge - lose Womack, replace with Butler - UPGRADE

QB - lose Collins, replace with Van Buren - UPGRADE

All of the others we lost to the portal are average or below average players, although they could have developed if they would stay.

Keep in mind that some that we lost to the portal may have been politely told by our staff that they may want to hit the portal!

Keep it coming BK, looking good!

It isn’t about just 1:1 replacements. We needed to keep guys like CJ Daniels while still signing portal guys.

How the hell is Barion Brown and upgrade over CJ Daniels?

Also. Losing Mason Taylor will be a major blow, especially with a depleted offensive line. Offense will take a big step back. This is a 7-5 team next year

I understand and agree with that, I’m just saying that we are off to a great start, replacing with upgrades, and complimenting our newly signed high school class.

I don't know how you consider Brown an upgrade over Daniels. CJ was hurt most of the season and he's an entirely different kind of WR. Brown has bad hands and he's an excellent return man. He's already similar to what we have on the roster. He's not a true WR1 which is really what is hurting right now. You have to keep guys and then pick out of the portal. LSU has a ton of work to do.

Need a WR1, need a TE1, need OL/DL, a starting S maybe 2.

You know who scored more points for LSU between cj daniels and barion brown? The answer is they are tied. One played for LSU and the other didn’t.

That's a dumb way to look at it. CJ Daniels is a loss for LSU. He was hurt the entire season even when he was playing. He's a good WR. I wish he stayed.

That’s great that we are replacing the two backups you named. I’m waiting on your replacements for the starters that we are losing

Way too early to do this...16 outgoing vs 3 incoming. The only one that I definitely agree with at this point is Jackson and upgrade over Johnson at CB. As far as TE, Sharp is probably fine but he has reached his ceiling. I hate to lose Pimpton because he started playing pretty darn good. That 32 yard pass reception and run in the OU game was a thing of beauty. The only 3 players I care about losing are Daniels, Pimpton, and Suggs. The other 13...who cares.

If we cannot learn to effectively run-block, we will be 6-6 at best! If we can't run the ball again next year, it will be nasty.

We will have to see about his hands but he is much speedier than Daniels from the film I watched on him. Daniels specialty seemed to be mid range 5-20 yd routes. He could not get separation on deep routes.

The only reason pimpton was in that game was the coaching staff doing him a favor and getting some film out there to help him find a spot. He’s slow, runs bad routes and can’t block. The only thing he’s got going for him is size. He’s not an SEC tightend. The melt over him is hilarious show of “don’t know ball”

His hands have looked pretty good catching balls also. Not only the one on the sideline with the nice yac. Also, he dove to the ground to catch a low throw by Nussmeier. BTW, give us your proof that Kelly only put Pimpton in that game to get film out there. From everything I've read by LSU analysts and what I believe, Kelly's statement about 2 transfers surprised him were Daniels and Pimpton. So sorry, but none of your appraisal or statements are credible to me. BTW, Pimpton is NOT slow. He doesn't have WRer speed but then again, he doesn't play WRer does he?

You keep the guy if he wants to be there and for him to be in the portal, he either doesn't want to be at LSU or he's in the portal to negotiate a better NIL deal. Either way, good riddance.

I hate to see CJ Daniels leave. He was an impact player for us. Wish he would stay a Tiger.

He’s an average player in the SEC and had already been passed up by a true freshman. Was likely to be passed up by an incoming freshman while being behind any transfer that was taken. The writing was in the wall. He’s not an impact SEC player. Go dominate the sunbelt kid.
