In a month filled with horrible CFP takes that might be the worst yet.

Nice opinion Cam. And good job of watching tape of the defenses you have played this year.

Edit: Miami has played zero teams this year that are currently ranked. Aka they didn't play the only 2 defenses with a pulse in the ACC (Clemson//SMU).

It hurts my brain when people say, "in my opinion" about something they are inferring is an objective stance without explaining how they came to their conclusion.

He has an argument for Miami to be in

That argument doesn't include ACC defenses being better than SEC defenses

There are things Miami can point to in order to argue they should be in… and yet seemingly whenever anyone opens their mouth (Ward, the AD), they just seem to hurt their own cause / validate the committee’s decision.

The field is basically locked in except for two teams...Alabama and SMU (and the Big 12 champ).

You have to know the CFP committee is pulling VERY hard for SMU to win the ACC champ game. If Clemson wins the committee is going to be put in a bind. Do they take Alabama over SMU because, in many respects a 2 loss SMU resume is not all that different from Miami's (who is behind Alabama). If they take Alabama in that scenario then they have confirmed to all that you can be penalized for making your conf. championship game because the only reason SMU would have a second loss is because they were forced to play an additional game Alabama didn't have to play.

I’m an SEC guy, but what is he supposed to say? Everyone else politics for their team, why not him?

I'm not from here but I currently live around 5 miles from where he grew up and played high school football. Let's just say that's probably the least stupid thing he's said this week. Was a mistake moving here but refinery pay was to good to pass up.
