And the propaganda machine marches on...

They are full of crap. We just spend almost $300 for thanksgiving and it will be less only around 8 people there. Sure there will be leftovers.
I sometimes think MSM (NBC in this case) shop a website of ALDI in Cheyenne, WY when they come of with this shite.
$58 for what kind of turkey or ham? Spam is right.

"They are at their cheapest ADJUSTING FOR INFLATION."
adjusting for what inflation?
How does that even make sense?

I just spent $12 on the ingredients for green bean casserole. There’s zero percent chance that data is accurate.

NBC can "decouple" from MSNBC but they're still leftist filth that no sane person should watch.

Funny thing is no one believes NBC, or watches them for that matter.

So if we ignore the thing making everything cost more, it’s not that expensive.
Cool.

quote:You idiot. Wages have inflated also. Are you under the impression that average salaries are what they were in 1965? In fact, during the 1970s, one of the main drivers of inflation was wages.
So if we ignore the thing making everything cost more, it’s not that expensive.

Well I don't know if this shite's true or not, but I do know that turkey and ham are dirt cheap proteins and most everything else can be purchased out of a can, bag or box.
Green beans, can. Stuffing, box. Mashed potatoes and gravy, bag or pouch. The list goes on.

Normalized for inflation my house cost 10K.
See how dumb that sounds?

God some of you rage monsters need to chill the frick out. I understand what it meant.
But also, you can’t pretend that wages have magically kept up with inflation for the last 4-5 years.
That’s everyone’s point.

Mine did. Maybe I'm the exception though

You can pretend all you want, but food costs are a much smaller burden than they used to be.
This has nothing to do with Biden or any POTUS. It has to do with the inherent ingenuity of the American economy.

"You might see a higher cost of living in everything around you but we are paying you more so shut up things are great. Now go rent a home we have yard work to do. These gated communities don't clean themselves peasants. "

Wages have not kept up with inflation. I repeat for the audience in the back of the room not paying attention that wages have not kept up with inflation
