How to get rid of them without shooting them? They are around the deer camp and our feeders. Any tips?

You don’t want to kill tbem or you don’t want to hunt them?
Dog proof traps work real good with some cat food or marshmallows. Once you catch them instead of shooting them you can hit them in the head with a bat.
If you don’t want to kill them then use the havahart live trap and turn them loose by someone place you don’t like.

I posted in another thread, our neighbor is up to 45 eradicated since August. Uses those dog proof (Duke) arm traps. My war starts this weekend, I’m 4 hours away watching them hang on the cage over the feeder and reach in to spin it. I now have no corn in my best feeder for opening day because of those MF’s.

learn to deal with it, you aren't going to eliminate raccoons in the woods

Feed soybeans. They don’t eat it.

I put lithium grease on the legs of my two feeders and have zero pictures of coons trying to climb the legs. Coons like to keep their paws clean, and the grease makes the legs too slippery for them. I used lithium grease so rain wouldn’t dissipate it as bad.
I used to have them hanging on the legs and spinners every time I’d check the SD cards.

Damn things killed my chickens. Destroyed my bee hives and my tomatoes……..
No mercy for them. I have a pcp air rifle topped with a ATN X-Sight 4k day/night scope.
Neighbor has the dog safe leg traps.
We get are starting to thin them out.

I live trap them and take them to my buddies hunting camp so I can hear him complain about all the racoons getting into their feeders.

I wouldn't try this unless you were going to kill them.

Learn how to make a bucket conibear set. Just reset every time you go out, already dead when you get there.

Give your neighbors a heads up because it will absolutely kill a dog if they run loose, or not. Hell of a way to deter dog running and completely legal.

You can kill a bunch with DP traps as prev mentioned. But it takes some work to keep running, rebaiting, etc.

The real answer here is stop feeding corn. As long as you feed corn you will have a coon problem. You can knock em down, but they will come back.

I eat them a few times per year. They're great. I'll smoke them for a few hours then wrap and braise. My wife doesn't like eating them so I normally give them to the custodian at work. He will take as many as I can get.
