Movies that overstayed their welcome practically ruined the film by adding a random hour or so at the end that was not needed

Cast Away- after he was rescued, did we really need another hour of Tom Hanks adjusting to normal life again?

Interstellar. Cool movie, but way too long, and way too much emphasis on the meaning of love, blah blah than needed for a space flick

Dark Knight (gonna catch heat for this, but Nolan has a tendency to beat you over the head with whatever his message or statement he's trying to get out). A good movie overall, just should have been shortened under 2 hours.

All the marvel movies (I don't really watch any of these, but the ones I have attempted to watch, they just seem long and tedious with cool CGI effects mixed in.

Most every new Scorsese

Wolf of Wall Street

Irishman

Killers of the flower moon

All felt every bit of 3 hours and took forever

Barbie, first 2/3rds or so isn’t bad but the ending dragged on forever. I thought it would never end.

Jurassic World Dominion. Worst movie I’ve ever seen in a theater and it was 2 and a half hours long. There’s also an extended version somehow.

John Wick 4

Speaking as a John Wick fan, no John Wick movie should be more than 2 hours. At almost 3 hours…..just end it, already.

I love the Dark Knight. That said, I think an argument could be made for ending the movie either when the Joker gets arrested or when he escapes and then really dig in deep with the aftermath and rise of Two Face in the 3rd movie. Of course, with Ledger dying that would have really screwed over that plan.

Django unchained. I love the movie, but it needed to shave off at least 20 minutes.

Oppenheimer. Good movie, but the courtroom scene was far too long.

The Batman. I love the first two acts, but the last act gets tedious.

Death Proof. There's one particular scene that drags on for an eternity

There's actually an extended version that I hope will be released someday. They cut a good bit out of the original script. I wish they would've included the Scotty Harmony stuff (in the script his family actually purchased Broomhilda - he was mildly retarded and fell in love w/ her, and would give her candy, etc. and even had intimate relations with her - ended up losing her to Calvin in a card game. I believe Sacha Baron Cohen was supposed to play the role)

I read they cut out several of Walter Goggins' scenes.
His character was supposed to be far more sinister.

Yeah, its a great ending, the stuff with Helen Hunt is fantastic.
