Work pet peeves

People that insist on you saying good morning to them before speaking to them. You enter a room and ask a question and their response is a sarcastic “good morning!”
I’m sorry but I have work to do. I’ll say good morning to the first few people I see in the morning but I don’t have the time to be exchanging pleasantries with everyone I come across all day. I’d spend half my day just talking.

You must have poor people skills.

What do you do for work?

Folks who just enter my office and start badgering me with questions without any kind of pleasantries.

People that copy superiors and/or C levels on unimportant mundane shite or to be passive aggressive.

People that go straight to the Teams video call when they have a question
Posted on 11/12/24 at 10:35 am to Undertow
Teams related:
1) Have a person who Teams messages me good morning. Nothing else and won't ask the question until I type good morning back
2) Another person who turns 1 Teams message into 4. "Hey, I need XYX" enter "Need it by Tuesday" enter "Also, I'm going to need ABC" enter "Also, by Tuesday" enter

The teams pet peeve for me is when someone blindly tries to pull me into another group call while I'm on a call.
ETA or when there is a global call with 1000's of people and every stupid fricker on the call types "Thank you" in the chat after the call.

People word vomiting on me as soon as I walk in the door.
I just got out of a cage match with an 8 year old getting dressed for school and Im only halfway done with my coffee.
I would love for my arse to hit the chair and take a breath before I get bombarded with shite that can be dealt with in the afternoon.

When someone who I know knows how to do something plays dumb and acts like they can’t.
I interpret that as laziness, or they know something is already fricked up or about to be fricked up and they’re trying to avoid the fallout.

I dont drink coffee, but it seems like everyone one who does has to fill their cup to the top rim and leave a trail of drops from the kitchen down the hallway.

Lazy or ineffective people.

Send an email with a few questions. Response back is "it would be easier to explain over a Teams call". Go back & forth to figure out scheduling to schedule the Teams call a few days later. Jump on the call, and done in 5 minutes, including opening pleasantries.
In a couple of weeks, ask a few more questions about something else, repeat the process.

Sounds like someone’s got a case of the Mondays.

When you work at a place for a long time, and establish ‘your’ parking spot, but some cheese dick gets there a minute before you and takes your spot so you have to park somewheres else
I understand we don’t have assigned spots, but I like where I park. Don’t be a douche
