This board said Daniels offense wasn’t good enough. Yes, hes getting more playing time and averaging 12 points a game. But still is very inconsistent on that end. Hes a superior defensive talent but trading him for Dejounte was the right move. Dejounte just got hurt.

It's coaching. The mental aspect of a game knowing you miss a single shot and get pulled becomes very frustrating. Look at Hawkins as well

Maybe. But Dyson would rarely try dunk the basketball here. Im not sure his offensive issues were all coaching. Its honestly he has a role there and seems more confident. Over here his role was just overlapping with Herbs.

With this team he’s bad. He can’t shoot. So when we have a bunch of guys who take up a lot of shots in the paint, hard for him to thrive. He was a bad fit offensively

I luv Dyson ...but have to admit...he STILL sucks on the offensive end. Just shooting quite a bit more with the Hawks. If anything, his shooting %s are even worse than when he was here...and they were terrible when he was here.
Still, I'd luv to have him back and hope he could develop offensively. I'd trade BI for Dyson...straight up...if Hawks would do it.

I believe most Pelican fans appreciated Dyson's game. I know I did, and hope we can get him back in the future. The kid plays the game the right way. He can guard 1-5, and these are the type of players you win championships with. Hard nose roll players.

I do find it interesting that Daniels haven't really improved the Hawks defense. They are still as bad as ever.

Dyson has played with more confidence this year. He got some good time in over the summer with the Aussie national team where he was forced to be more aggressively offensively out of necessity, and now in Atlanta he is playing with a team that is more focused on the future + with an elite passer in Trae Young.
I still agree with the thought process behind the trade. Dyson was not going to reach his full potential with this version of the Pels. It's okay for both teams to win a trade.
