I Agree With the Federal Ruling Prohibiting VA From Purging Voter Rolls

The VA SOS should have purged rolls as a part of his regular duties at any point over the past 4 years instead of waiting 1 month before the election. Now he risks purging people who are registered, and the chance to deprive a registered voter of their Constitutional right is unacceptable.
Now that’s he’s been prohibited from purging rolls, he can enact other measures as he deems fit to ensure integrity of the election like checking IDs with his registered rolls (assuming that’s within the State’s laws).
This is all on the State. I don’t know why they waited until 3 months before a 4-year election to make sure their voter rolls were squared away.

The doj is corrupt, I assign them no credibility.

Imagine if California did this. You would rightfully be upset (assuming you’re GOP).

Why make a new thread just for your opinion on an existing thread. Pretty narcissistic honestly

Just how micro is your peen?
Does anyone want to debate the role the SOS has in causing this?

They always allow you to submit a provisional ballot and then show proof of residency and ID. It's not fricking difficult.
Now that the voter rolls have been infected, the Republicans should be given the names and the precincts for every one of these fraudulent registrations. That way, if someone shows up to vote or where a mail-in ballot has been sent in, they can be heavily scrutinize it to make sure that they’re not fraudulent.
Surely, you would agree with this common sense approach. Unless of course, you truly understand that your side needs to engage him massive fricking voter to win elections.

The purging was done pursuant to individual attestations by the non-citizens. This wasn't part of a systematic purging of rolls, which is what the relevant law actually prohibits.

That requires reading, not an emotional response devoid of any factual and relevant information.

What happens when the SOS completes that process three months before the election, then 150,000 illegal aliens get drivers licenses and sign up to vote?

Everyone who wants voter fraud agrees with the decision.

Every illegal alien who votes deprives a citizen who legally votes for the opposite candidate of their civil rights. Now what?

These are not voter roll determined
This is triggered when someone goes into the DMV and states they are a non citizen
It's a one off validation process to scrub red flag situations. They are then given time to prove the are a citizen before their name actually comes off the list.
AND it's been happening everyday for the last 18 years.
So, not shocking that you have no idea what you are talking about

Except they didn't wait until 4 months before the election. They've sent multiple notices to the address on file to these voters and got no response. If these voters still want to vote, they still can by showing up in person with proof they are a Citizen...
It seems like the state has gone above and beyond and being pretty fair in this situation considering a lot of these voters have even admitted they are not Citizens and were registered by the fraud machine anyway...

He did.

He didn't.
Virginia has been doing this same voter roll cleanup process since 2007. Democrat Tim Kaine signed the law putting it into effect when he was governor, and it was vetted by the DOJ at that time. Virginia’s rebuttal to this lawsuit is theirs is not a systematic process, it’s based on individual information provided by the individual person in question. The data they are relying on is self-reported - these people said they were not citizens. County registrars then attempt to reconcile that information with the individual and they are given 14 days to respond saying yes, they are in fact a citizen, before their registration is cancelled.
It should also be noted that Virginia passed a same day voter registration law in 2022. So if an individual at some point said they were not a citizen, somehow missed the request for verification or did not return it within 14 days and shows up at the polls thinking they are a registered voter when they have been removed from the rolls, they can still register same day and cast their ballot.

The people purged, per the AG, are those who self-identified as being non-citizens.
