Cafe Maspero…. Might not be the best, but it’s cheap and had many a great memory there.

Not a seafood joint. I haven’t been there in ages. Do the bikers still run the kitchen?

Haven’t been in years, either. But every time I have gone, I always got the seafood platter. So to me it seemed like a seafood joint.

Truth. And I wasn’t going to say anything in response to the comment, but I’ll never go back to that place. They’re shady. I’ll leave it at that.

Clesi’s to me is the best of the new places doing older school seafood.

I haven’t been in a few years but I’m not surprised. In fairness, you are describing almost every restaurant out there. Restaurant prices are insane. Go to Cassemento’s and order a small crab claws, a fried seafood plate and a couple of beers and see what that costs.

One of the best restaurants in New Orleans when it was in business. I read once that whenever Emeril Lagasse had out of town chefs visit him in New Orleans, Uglesich's was the restaurant he took them to.
