LONOKE, Ark. — The Lonoke County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating an incident where a confrontation between two men led to one being shot and killed.
According to reports, at about 1:12 a.m. on October 8, deputies were called to a home on Highway 236 East with reports of a missing 14-year-old girl.
Reports say that the father of the teen, Aaron Spencer, had reportedly found the teen inside a vehicle with a man identified as Michael Fosler.
A confrontation between the two men began and ended in Fosler being shot. He was pronounced dead while still at the scene.
Spencer was taken into custody and transported to the Lonoke County Detention Center where he is being charged with first-degree murder which is a class Y felony.
No information has been released on whether or not the family had any connection to Fosler, but officials did confirm that the teen is now safe.

One of the people I went to HS with a couple of grades younger than me is a police officer at lonoak and they posted on facebook that they investigating everything.

I’m raising funds to pay for legal fees for my husband for the murder charge he is facing after saving our child from a predator.
In the summer of 2024, our child was groomed and raped by a 67-year-old friend of a family friend. He was charged but released on $50k bail and is awaiting court in December.
At 1 a.m. on Tuesday morning, we were awoken by our daughter’s dog barking. We checked on her and found that she was not in her bed. Frantically, we called friends, family, and 911.
My husband went blindly searching for our 14-year-old. By the grace of God, he passed the predator's vehicle on the road and followed them, trying to get him to pull over with our child. Instead, the predator ran with our minor child. My husband was able to catch up to him and retrieve our child. In the process, he was attacked and did what he needed to protect himself and our daughter.
My husband is a combat veteran who has always protected his family and country. And today, he is our hero. Now we need help to fight these outrageous charges. Please consider momentary donations if possible, but we will also take calls and letters to Lonoke County prosecutors reminding them that they work for the people, and any and all prayers.
We are generally private people, have not had much sleep, but the support has been overwhelming, and we appreciate everyone sharing our story so the truth gets out there.
