An executive at my company just hit my week old truck in the parking lot

Awkward situation. Apparently the company is handling everything direct instead of going through insurance.
I'm not worried about getting the truck fixed - but inconvenience, rental car, not being able to ask for diminished value, etc.

Why pay for insurance if you're not going to use it? That's dumb

This sounds like an incredibly bad idea, and I'd rather go through insurance. Who are you going to argue pricing with, the company that employs you?

I could be off base here as I am not a car person but what else do you need if they fix your truck and provide you with accommodations in the mean time at no cost to you?
I don't think your insurance company would give you extra money for diminished value if you went through them, would they?

Did you still have the police do a report?

Who owns the parking lot?

You have 2 choices.
Ask for diminished value and cause a rift at work and possibly get fired
Or be happy they are fixing it and it’s not being reported so when you do get rid of it, the damage won’t come up on any type of report like car fax

If they aren’t gonna take care of that, then they aren’t handling everything and we going through their insurance

Unlikely.
Go to the body shop of your choice, get an estimate, and ask them to pay that. Who cares how they pay it?

Or agree to keep it for three years
but then sell it and they have to guarantee what its value would have been had there not been an accident or by it at that price .
take that Slo

You can't be fired now, you can claim retaliation
