Tin Roof Closing Down

Baton Rouge's largest craft brewery is closing its doors. Shame. I've enjoyed good times there with friends when I visit Baton Rouge. Does anyone know if they were bought out or what? They seem to have a very loyal following, so I find it hard to believe they're closing because they can't pay the bills.

Facespace said they were selling to new ownership.

Compared to the paradise that is Mississippi?

Already discussed topic on the food board.

I have a feeling Istrouma Brewing won't be opening back either.
They're currently "shut down for remodeling"
Seems like many craft breweries are closing lately.
Austin, TX also seems to have many closing.

Craft brew boom is catching up. Every Tom and Dick opened one over the past 10 years and now you have half an aisle at a grocery store of just local stuff and most people still buy domestic big 3 beer.

Mississippi is passing us up.

I talked with owner of a brewery and he said most of the breweries are just making enough to stay open. Economy is hurting the discretionary income. Said he plans to shut the doors down if a certain person is elected president.

Surprised they couldn’t keep it going with the drag shows they were having every week

Craft beer prices have risen to an unsustainable point. It’s clear product isn’t moving like it used to, any time I buy craft beer most of the shelf is old shelf terds now

Yep. People who drink craft beer hate Trump

After 10 years of hanging around neck beards, you'd be ready to close up shop too

craft breweries are owned almost exclusively by white liberal men, so part of me is happy when they fail. Lot fewer trans flags shoved down our throats that way

A few are closing in Charleston as well.

Not surprised we have seen breweries closing. Younger people don’t drink or even go out like they used to. Older people are trying to cut back on drinking while filling the void with gummies, edibles, and weed. Era of cheap money is over. Cost everything for consumers and producers going up doesn’t help.

What a pathetic, miserable existence. I’ve been to many breweries and never seen anything remotely related to what you spew.

Decent one up here in Bossier City closed too. Red River Brewing.
They had just bought a new place and remodeled it and they closed within a few months. Hated to see it go although they only were brewing like 3 beers in their new spot and were selling other brands.
