She didn't just have the question, the whole script was developed Dems to push all trumps buttons and to give her all the sound bites she can use. He should not have done this one, all produced to make him look terrible, was a setup.

That’s it. She doesn’t really have much of a job and doesn’t make a lot of campaign appearances like Trump does. So she just had 5 speeches to give regardless of the question. No conspiracy required.
Everyone knew ABC would be an ambush and training wheels for Harris.
Trump just did what Trump does and the chips will fall where they may. This will not be news in a couple weeks.

I don’t think she did, and she didn’t need to. She has a ton of canned answers that don’t answer anything and the moderators don’t follow up. All it would take would be for one moderator to follow up and say “explain that plan a little more in detail” and we could all watch her head short circuit.
