Moss showed me something. he was being hit and still completed passes. he was having his lineman driven into him while throwing and still competed passes. He has 3 legitimate NFL receivers and TE. Losing to them will not look bad by end of season in my opinion. My biggest issues were the stupid penalties and the conservative play calling in 4th qtr. First can be cleaned up. Second remains to be seen but you cannot run RPO without having the option of Nuss running. Even the announcers mentioned that there were plays where if Nuss kept the ball he would have gotten a couple of huge 3rd downs.

From what we saw out of the Big 10, they should be a top 3 team in the conference.

ETA: People downvoting clearly did not watch much football this weekend. The Big 10 has a bunch of mediocre teams.

I think there's going to be a good number of teams with three losses. The 6-12 playoff spots are going to be wide open.

I was surprised Nuss didn’t run it at least once or twice but he played great overall. We have a good quarterback.

I agree, but LSU should be good enough to not allow two TD's in the last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter to blow the victory.

No, probably not.

But it puts us squarely behind the eight ball to start the season. This team will have a lot of work to do.

he was good but i think people are putting a little too much hype around him after this game. he chunked some balls up that were questionable that could have easily been disastrous for them but somehow ended up working out in their favor.

I still can’t tell if their coaches really got them ready to go for this game or if they are actually good. Detached talking heads think both teams are very good. They played fundamentally solid. To help our cause down the road they need to be a good team.

USC is great. Lincoln Riley is overrated. We suck, but we don’t. Also, CoachMc is great. Coherent thoughts are my specialty.

They may be a 9-3 or 8-4 team. The game suggests LSU is roughly the same.

Nuss panicked at times and the offense went away from passing (which worked) to running up the middle (didn't work) in the 3rd. Ran a few tosses outside that were hit or miss.

It's hard to know, but I don't see it that way.

I thought their OL was poor. Their WRs were very good. Their QB threw some questionable balls, especially under pressure that worked out. But, over a season, I'd be concerned.

And, their defense was a lot worse than we made it look.

I think they will lose a few games this year.

They’re a 9-3 or 8-4 team. They caught every break in this game from not having any of the 4 possible turnovers go against them, penalties and mistakes by us, and insane highlight catches by receivers they will likely not make again this year. To their credit, they scored 14 points in the 4th quarter when they had to have it and we missed opportunities to put the game away with the lead.
