I thought he played hard. Definitely see he has a bright future. Anyone else? What did you think?

Played aggressive. He was in position to make plays. Just needs to learn how to turn and locate the ball to avoid PI calls.

Solid outing against a great wide receiver group

I’m excited to see him progress this season. It should be fun to watch him develop, especially over the next few, easier games. I thought he and Stamps looked good yesterday, and I didn’t think the PI call on Woodland was a good one at all

Too small in the long run but held his own to a point. He can take some snaps on this D

Looked in good position but seemed undersized to be honest.

Stamps seemed like our only legitimate corner.

Wish Welch worked out.

Looks like a freshman with potential.

Needs to add some muscle.

Played well. Especially for year 1, game 1.

I will feel better when he gains experience and confidence. His upside is much greater than a former 5 star player like Sage Ryan.

He is a classic case of why some of you need to stop star gazing and trust the coaches who recruit the players.

Had some BS refereeing go against him, but I thought he actually played pretty well.

Played well

Overall the secondary minus Burns and Sage played much better than expected.

Would have looked even better but for a couple of incredible catches by USC

Play him over Sage, Sage has been here for years but still bites on the same playfakes.

He’s about the same size as Emmanuel Forbes who was an all sec corner. The kid can cover that’s what’s most important at cb. Gotta throw him out there and hope he improves he has a sky high ceiling

He’s not Stingley-ready as a true freshman, but extremely few are. That said, he did very well for his age on that big of a stage in game one. He and Stamps are good building blocks, but we need more of the young guys to step up quickly and Zy Alexander to get back soon.

He needs to play the whole game or at least the first 2 and half quarters next week. He needs to start sooner rather than later.

No he didn’t. That was plainly PI. Had he turned to his right and located the ball they would not have called that, but it’s PI every day all day.

Nah. PI is always a discretionary judgment call for the referees, and they didn’t give P.J any benefit of the doubt.

Made more plays last night than Sage did all of last year.

He'll be starting by Week 4
