Let’s say you get your wish.

Ya’ll ready for LSU having to come up with ANOTHER buyout and then another 2-3 year transition and hiring new coaches (some possibly ok, some terrible) and losing 75% of the recruiting class including the #1 overall recruit?

Sounds reasonable.

When they fire Kelly, what would a lot of you guys expect to happen immediately following? I’m just wondering how it all plays out in the “Fire Brian Kelly” minds.

Honest question:

What coaches is LSU still paying buyouts to?? How much and how long??

Wanting Brian Kelly fired and it being a realistic possibility are two very different things.

Everyone that knows his contract numbers knows he can't be fired for at least another half decade thanks to the genius 10 year 100 million almost fully guaranteed contract

At least half of the posters who want him fired think that LSU could seriously “back the Brinks truck” up to Nick Sabans door and have him coach here.

They are not to be taken seriously.

Thanks to Woodward, we are stuck with Kelly for at least 2-3 more years. Any talk of firing him now is just wishful thinking.

I think the BK experiment has failed. However, the funding will continue for several years. Very government like.

all of this is exactly why he will not be fired, regardless of how this season, or even next, goes...

we simply cannot afford it, nor can we take another huge hit in recruiting again, so soon... we still haven't really recovered in a lot of areas from when we fired O and that class went to shite...

i think the attitude, at least mine, is just one of resignation... i'm resigned to the fact that LSU, no matter how much preseason hype or recruiting class rankings or new coordinator hires, etc, will be "good, not great" and will have a good record, but will not really be in the discussion for championships, for the foreseeable future.... we'll win between 8-10 games a year, but will be on the outside looking in at the playoffs, and going to some shitty bowl game....

Kelly just ain't the coach he was hyped up to be or we hoped that he would become... will win you some games, but just won't win you a championship... it is what it is....

I’ve been roasting and toasting BK all day. Yet I’m not saying he needs to be fired and a lot of LSU fans likely feel the same. It isn’t realistic. But the dude 100% deserves to be wracked over the coals for this shite.

No credit to Woodward for the success in other LSU sports?

Baseball national champions ship
Women’s basketball

I’m sure there are others but I really don’t pay attention hat much to know.

Why, sir, we will just find another booster or boosters to reach deep into their pockets to fund the buyout and create inducements for a new coach. No doubt Woodward would have to well lubricate them.

Firing him isn’t realistic

Having severe doubts about him at this juncture absolutely is

Which is the troubling part

Yea, and idiots are begging for Les Miles or CEO. People are sorry as can be.

No one is more disappointed than CBK today. He'll get this team together.

Stuck with him. Who gives a coach $10 mil a year that has not won a NC? We did

Reasonable fans know Kelly's job is safe. Putting your allegedly very talented team behind the eight ball to start every season is poor coaching and just not knowing your team.

We'll have 1 loss and Ole Miss will be undefeated when we play. LSU hasn't loss to them at home in a long time. If we shite the bed against Ole Miss, Kelly will still be safe, but will be disliked as much as Les was.

I say 2026 is the year. Year 5. Make the playoff or retire old man. Lsu has way more advantages than Ole Miss and Missouri and those schools are currently fielding much better football teams.
