Looks like a pretty serious leg injury in the Minnesota game.

Probably just played the last game of his career.

Tough break for him.

He is one of the toughest QBs I’ve seen play for my team. He would stand in running Jimbo’s fricktarded scheme with our disjointed line and just let it rip and take shots. I would think he has a bright future in coaching if he wants it

At least he has an awesome porn name and doesn’t have to go incognito.

He’ll get a medical redshirt. He really erred on not playing in the bowl game for us though- that could be his only shot.

Him, his brother, and his Dad tried to hold LSU hostage.

Brian Kelly told him to kick rocks. I’m bringing in the Arizona State transfer.

You think Brad Johnson has ever been told his services (or his sons) are no longer wanted?

Would love to have seen what BK said in person to him.

You know BK spoke in a way that the Johnsons have never been spoken to.

Makes me smile.

In the pros, yeah he's dealt with that before.

I really think a lot of your type are making it seem like it was some kind of teen drama that occurred. With coaching changes comes turnover especially in today's climate. If Max Johnson really wanted a guaranteed starting spot he could have gone somewhere else other than A&M where they already had Haynes King and Weigman who were both better prospects than him. And he wasn't even given the starting spot there. He went to A&M because they had a relationship with Jimbo going back to his FSU days, Brad being an FSU alum and his kids going to camps there, and the LSU coaching staff they committed to blew up. It happens. And then Jimbo got fired and he left again.

And just as a disclaimer, even when Max was here I was in the camp where he was not the QB we needed. He just isn't that guy. And never will be. He had random moments that I can appreciate, but as a QB talent he is mid at best, that might have 1 random good game a year. But I don't see why we need to made shite up like his family was trying to hold LSU hostage instead of he just didn't want to be part of a coaching change and went to a coaching staff he went to camps to as a kid to play with his brother.

So like his dad?

I never understood the hype with him simply because he was Brad's son. Brad's best season was the Super Bowl season for Tampa, which more people probably remember for the Bucs defense, not the offense. Hell, Dwight Smith had as many pick 6s by himself as Brad had passing touchdowns in the SB.

I would never wish ill on a young man, and hope it's nothing too serious and he is able to finish his college career, because he's not going anywhere in football.

You can see why Max won the job. His backup looked incapable of throwing a forward pass.

You would think with his lineage and lifelong tutelage, he would have better mechanics. He has the longest, slowest release I've ever seen. Plus there is a hitch in it, with a weird release. I just hated watching him throw. It's a waste, cause he has great physical gifts and so much potential..

Does the Johnson family also have a lifelong relationship with Mack Brown? Did they have one with Orgeron and LSU?

The problem with your fun little scenario is that Jimbo was at TAMU when Max came to LSU. Something very specific changed in college football between the time Max committed to LSU and when he transferred to TAMU (and his brother flipped his commitment). And it wasn’t just a coaching change.
