Watch people. Looking for a daily driver

Im looking to purchase a watch to wear daily. I have a nice Omega but it honestly just too thick and I dont want to damage it since I am fairly rough on things. I work with my hands assembling things and I am on the boat a lot (saltwater) so I need something that can withstand that.
Id like a metal band, possibly blue face? Been just looking around at styles. There is a great watch shop near my home and I am going to go by there tomorrow. Looking for brands and maybe some to stay away from.
Im thinking a $500 budget at most. Any recommendations?
These brands are listed on their website

$500 is no mans land
Better off going $100-200 or bumping to around $1000

Thats the reason to buy an omega / Rolex/ tudor /etc in my opinion. They can take it, and get better with age and wear IMO. No reason to own an expensive automatic tool watch if it doesn't get worn all the time, and somewhat reflect their owners after a couple of decades of use.
That said, $500 is an odd place. Go cheaper and get a g-shock, timex, etc. My old timex expedition is about 15 years old and still keeps perfect time. Small, lightweight, indiglo backlight. It's a damn good watch and I think it was $50.

Look at Tissot or Hamilton

Check out Tissot. They have a ton of watches under 500 in different styles.

Check out the link- Brew Watches
Saw Idris Elba with one of these and I'm intrigued by the design. And they are around $500 I think.

I've got a Seiko Prospex that my mom gave me for a Christmas present and it's about $500. It's become one of my daily drivers because it's very comfortable and I think it looks good.

Seiko Prospex Land tortoise. 20 bar water resistance, thinner than the turtle and its in your budget. You can get a blue dial version.

Dude...the concept of Time is overblown. Live by the Moon, Sun and hunger pangs of your gut and you be better off.
