Pretty sure none of the armed services have made 'recruitment mission' (their words for quota) in quite a few years. Can't imagine why.......

I think it was more to push out military families and rural troops for minorities. You can get your family citizenship if you join so probably why they let millions of people in.

The military has changed to private contractors. Up to $2000/day. No health or retirement concerns down the road.
Iraq was over 50% contractors/mercenaries at the end.
