Is probably 6th or 7th on the depth chart. Probably won’t play many meaningful snaps barring a couple of injuries. Just doesn’t appear to be ready yet. Talented, but only 18, and the 22/23 year olds are more prepared to play this level right now.

Big and strong. But technique is tough because he is so tall. Should be ready to go for lower tier games and ready to play next year a lot.

Given his height, can understand why he would not be moved to an OL???

Because he's an interior defensive lineman.

He’s raw. Always has been, I don’t know why some thought he was just gonna walk in and start

Because he was one of the best DL in HS last year and we need DL. Pretty simple. There are plenty of 6'5" DL in the NFL. Chris Jones being one of them.

Wrong. Isn’t he getting reps with the 2nd team? He & Breaux should see plenty of snaps at DT

The question is perfectly legit.
The kid is one of our top recruits last year and happens to be at the position we most need help.
Nobody expected him to start.
But it is an appropriate question whether he can be expected to help.
And in cases like this NOT hearing the kids name being called out leads to inquiry.
Can he help this year?
Is ahe a couple of years off?

IMO, he’s big enough to play. We need big bodies in the interior two deep and we don’t really have that. I suspect he will play out of need and focus as a block eater. Against USC if you start to OL getting to the second level he will come in to eat blockers. He will play more throughout the season, he’s a good prospect.

At least we aren’t hearing he’s getting mauled. Hopefully it means the older guys are improving

Buried on depth chart, Breaux will see time this year ahead of him.

Think the wrap on him was always that the potential was there but he was going to need development time anf wouldnt make an instant impact

And now let’s do the same with Ju’Juan Johnson, the stud from Lafayette Christian.

Is he buried in the DB room? Should he be on the offensive side?

Freshman DT's rarely make waves. Don't usually have the weight or grown man strength

I think he will play in a heavy rotation. As the year goes on he could get more reps. He is a big boy already so may not take him too long to figure it out.

Well he has the best DL coach in college football so if Bo don’t think he’s ready, he probably isn’t ready. It will be interesting to see where he is on the depth chart.

Heard some mentions of him during the summer. Seemed to be in good condition and strength. It is possible that he pushes some others down the depth chart but if he does that is likely a bad sign. The Tigers dont want to have to lean on an incoming freshman DT unless he is all world.

By all accounts, it seems like Jacobion Guillory & Gio Paez are the top 2 at DT
