She wants our corporate income tax to be second highest in OECD
She wants highest cap gains tax in American history
Wants to tax unrealized gains
Do some of her fans on here really think this will have no economic impact?

Taxing unrealized gains is madness. How can anyone support such a stupid idea?

Anyone that proposes taxing unrealized gains is beyond stupid.

Do you get a refund if you pay taxes on unrealized gains and the investment subsequently tanks?…
Posted on 8/20/24 at 3:30 pm to HailHailtoMichigan!
25% on unearned gains.
Yeah, you want to see a depression? This is how you see a depression.

So they want to tax you on what you would have made had you sold the stocks or whatever that you currently have, but didn't sell? And do they tax them on what you could have sold them for at the end of the year, or at their highest point during the year? I mean, while they are at it, you COULD have sold your home... let's tax that... and if you have any empty bedrooms, you COULD be renting those out to homeless or undocumented migrants.. so let's just go ahead and tax that income... wait... own a car? Well, you COULD be ubering at night and on weekends, so that right there could be potential income... better throw it in there...

Are they really unrealized if you have to sell to pay taxes?

Is she trying to throw the election?

This is why Bezos is allowing WaPo to attack Kamala now, IMO.

So when your gains are actually less, is the government going to send you a refund?
You want to talk about completely stifling an economy. This is the perfect plan. They hate America.

Even better, how do you get the cash to pay taxes in unrealized gains? You have to sell 25% of your asset.
How do you think the market works if high net worth individuals have to liquidate stocks, bonds, RE, etc. to pay for their tax bill every year?
