I currently have both right now and I don't think I've ever been this miserable. There's a streak of PI on my face from my forehead to cheek where I guess I had it on my hand then wiped sweat off. It's also along my ribs and on my stomach. The chiggers have attacked my thighs, scrote, and stub end. Thankfully none were able to get to my arse hole.

Right now I think the chiggers are winning but that might be due to them being picky about where they dig in.

I had poison Ivey so many times when I was younger that I think I have built up an immunity to it. I can bear hug a tree with it hanging sticks and barely get a small rash for a day at most.
Chiggers on the other hand go straight for my nut sack and wear me out!! So I’m voting chiggers.
Since I have started using permithian I have not had chiggers or ticks.

I get it every year from August to November. I wish I had your luck. I had it so bad a few years ago the PM of the project I was on made it a safety topic before a meeting.

I don’t get poison ivy but it looks miserable. But I can’t see how anything can be worse than a nutsack full of red bugs. Oh and them on the ankles are terrible too.

Red bugs suck slightly more than poison ivy. They seem to linger longer.

Not on your topic but when I was in school at Auburn I spent a summer at the Solon Dixon Forestry Education center in Dixon Al. One of the guys put a dead snake in another dudes bed. That guy ended up getting back at him by rubbing his bedsheets down with poison oak leaves. Never seen anyone with the rash from head to toe like he had. Guy had to leave school for 2 weeks to recover. It was bad.

Poison ivy. Parts of my body will break out in hives that last nearly a month plus when it’s bad

Chiggers.

They are actually a spider that lives in leaf litter during the stage of life that makes them a pest. Get the leaf blower cranked up and burn the pile if you can.

Chiggers.

One of the reasons I'm on a 3 year burn rotation. Cleans out the forest floor of PI and all kinds of bugs. On good years after the burn, polk weed establishes and the deer nibble on that all summer.

I have been immune to poison ivy my whole life until this year. After enough exposure over time apparently you can develop a reaction to it. It was on my forearm and sucked pretty bad but I still vote chiggers

They're a 6 legged mites in the stage they are pests. They're entirely benign with 8 legs.
