For parking in their own driveway?
Long story short, we live close to campus. The sidewalk runs through my driveway. I was ticketed for parking in my driveway where the sidewalk comes through.

That’s a local ordinance just about everywhere, you can’t obstruct the sidewalk.

The government has a servitude on that stretch of your property. You aren’t allowed to block it, in the same way that you’re not allowed to block, say, an Entergy servitude. It’s shitty, but it’s been that way forever.
