This Algerian boxer stuff is what’s wrong with social media, she’s always been a woman

Imane Khelif was born a woman, raised as a girl, has a vagina, has never had a penis, competed and acted as a girl her entire life. Don’t take my word for it

If you don’t like those sources, there are dozens more online, and none with any proof she was ever born a man or acted as a man in her life.
Basically she failed a test last year that said she had too many XY chromosomes, but she is a woman and always has been, she’s just a masculine woman. I would bet many of the great female athletes of all time have higher levels of testosterone. To me this is like barring a male from the high jump because they’re too athletic. She has a genetic advantage, but so did Michael Phelps, LeBron James, Usain Bolt, and many many others.
She’s a biological woman, not a biological man, also she’s not even that good she loses plenty, including in the last Olympics.
This is why it’s important to do research and not believe everything you read online and in the news

If they're gonna play boxers with XY Chromosomes, then they need to redfine weight classes at the Olympic Level. A woman at her weight is at an incredible disadvantage against her.

Just do a chromosome test and prove it.
You want her to take of her pants and show you? She’s been a woman her whole life, you think they’d let someone be trans in Algeria?

The chromosome test us the only one that matters.

You can do chromosome test on a fetus at what 10 weeks gestation?
I don't understand how this is difficult to do on an adult?
Just test and put issue to rest.

But see what I guess you don’t know is a lot of women are born with some XY chromosomes, it’s not that uncommon.
Also the test she failed was administered by Russian officials in a Russian federation right after she had just beat a Russian

I have not been following this very closely but the sizes of these boxers do look unfair. Even in regular men's boxing we divide boxers up into weight class.

Yeah I think this is for sure more nuanced than what I initially assumed.
Thought this was a clear cut case of a man that transitioned.
It sounds like she could actually give birth. So Definitely tricky.

Could have just stopped there.

Exactly. Sucks but it is what it is. Take up golf or some non contact endeavor. Should not be pounding on women. The fact that some women have defeated this person is irrelevant.

How long would these results take? I’m
Actually asking as I have no idea how this is done.
But also, if she’s passed all the regulations for the IOC why should she have to do this unless all the competitors are doing it?

If she is intersex, it is a different discussion entirely.
Discussing whether or not an intersex individual should be allowed to compete as a woman would be valid, but calling her a man would be unfair.

This is the fault of the progs unreasonably advocating for weirdos like Leah Thomas and dick choppers to compete with biological women. The result is that people have no time or patience to deal with the nuance of people like this boxer.
The parable of The Boy Who Cried Wolf comes to mind.

The funny thing about this is
Libs have been saying gender identity is complicated
The right has said God made it very easy - if on day one you have a vagina you are a woman, born with a penis you are a man. End of discussion.
Imane Khelif was born - day one - with a vagina and no penis
Now the right is saying - it's more complicated than that. You have to do genetic testing and count chromosomes under a microscope.

It's more complicated than that. She, like a handful of other elite women athletes, is intersex. True, it's not something she chose or something she did, as a transgender athlete would. She was born with a chromosomal abnormality that causes her to produce more testosterone than the normal woman due to (I assume) internal testes. She probably had no idea because she's outwardly female and coming from Algeria I doubt there was any testing for this stuff when she was younger.
Still, it's not fair to the other competitors. You pointed out Phelps, Bolt, etc. but none of their genetic advantage crossed the sex boundary. Some sports governing bodies have decided that the advantages from these types of DSD disorders give too much of an advantage to female athletes. Caster Semenya and Francine Niyonsaba are both intersex track athletes, and they're both banned from competition unless they suppress their testosterone levels with estrogen treatment. So no, it's not as black and white as some outlets are making it out to be, but it's not as simple as you're claiming either.

People jumped to conclusions before they had any evidence or facts and you’re blaming progressives?
I think it’s funny this has become a political issue in America anyway since it’s an Algerian fighting and Italian in France.

If you have XY you are not a woman.
