Should be to limited to sports/ activities that do not use balls or other handheld equipment to compete.

“Sports”

I get the track and field stuff. You run fast enough or jump high enough to escape a predator or have someone slower be eaten instead of you. Javelin / archery is hunting. Power lifting , swimming and that type of stuff makes sense.

Breakdancing? They already have basketball but they also have 3v3 basketball?

Wasn’t the discus one of the original Olympic events ever?

It would be nice to maybe stretch out the games to where women compete in one week and the men the next.

Liberals are how we got to this point. You really think the Olympics are better because China and France get to field a 3X3 Womans basketball team?

I just saw a lady gymnast straddle the balance beam, that sport seems to meet your requirements.

So no diacus throw? That's one of the original Olympic sports.

What about archery? It debut at the Summer Olympics in 1900.

What about the track & field events that use hand held objects like the pole vault, discus and shot put?

Track and field remain untouched. My thought with hand held equipment was towards racquets, golf clubs, etc.

At this rate we’re going to have drone flying in 2028.
