She’ll win the 1500 with minimal competition. If she wants to go to LA I assume it would only be in the 1500.

That's harsh. She's represented the US so well over the last few olympics I hate watching her go through this, but like I said in the other thread, father time has not been kind to her. The game has passed her by.

I saw her at Publix one time. She's done well in representing our country. She's going to win more medals at the Olympics. Not sure she that deserves any harsh criticism. That's about all I got.

It’s not her bred and butter event even though she’s won the 200 and 400 in the last. Distance swimming is still her speciality and it’s crazy she’s won as many diverse swimming golds as she has.

No. That's part of the problem with US athletics compared to other countries. We aren't replacing our aging team with competitive replacements. The age coming up is a generation taught that the kind of hyper competitiveness required to keep pace is mean and shunned.
We've got lots of great people representing the US, but fewer and fewer with with that killer competitive mentality.
