USA Today survey takers must be on crack with top 10 most popular restaurants

I understand these rankings are based on some anonymous survey, but where some of these restaurants are ranked are down right criminal. For the first time in over a decade, Chick-fil-a was overtaken by Taco Del as the top restaurant. I've heard they are good, but I live in Alabama and there are only two in the entire state, so I've never even seen or eaten at Taco Del, so I'll take the survey takers' word on that.
So, common sense would tell you that Chick-fil-a is now second, right? NO! It was overtaken by KFC! What! I thought for sure Biden had made the list, because no one in their right mind would put them in that order. I haven't eaten at a KFC in 10+years and they built a beautiful new KFC in my area about 7-8 years ago, and now it's closed! Everytime I pass by Chick-fil-a there are two lines of cars wrapped around the building! Total head scratcher!
My only other big beef with this ranking is Taco Bell at No. 7. Who doesn't eat at Taco Bell at least 2/3 times a month? To make matter worse, putting Captain D's and Hardee's in front of them is borderline criminal! I don't know one person that's eaten at either restaurant in 10 years, except for getting a Hardee's breakfast every blue moon. Yes, I'm confessing!
OK, I'm done venting. Please excuse me, my freshly made, delicious Chick-fil-a meal has just arrived!
So what do you think about the rankings?
10. Arby's - about right
9. Zaxby's - thought it would be higher
8. Popeye's - really surprised because I thought it was only a southern thing
7. Taco Bell - needs to be much higher
6. Captain D's - shocked it's even on the list
5. Hardee's - should be much lower
4. In-and-Out - never seen or visited one
3. Chick-fil-a - travesty, should be No. 1
2. KFC - wouldn't have been on my list
1. Taco Del - never seen or visited one, but have heard it's very good

I'd venture to say quite a few people.

I would hope the vast majority of people. The only restaurants on that list that I've eaten food from in the past year have been Chick-fil-a and Popeyes.

No McDonald's? List is difficult to take seriously.

These lists make no difference in most folks dining habits. My hope is that all of us eat food we like, and not what USA Today ranks as #3 or #6

No whataburger? No cane’s?

I haven’t eaten anything from any of those in several years, if ever, and I drive by several of them weekly if not daily. Wife says she snagged some Taco Bell at lunch a few weeks ago for the first time in a year or so.

I haven't eaten at Taco Bell in probably a decade or more.

I’ve never eaten at Taco Bell
2-3 times a month? No wonder this country is so fat

I haven’t eaten Taco Bell in a decade, but I have self respect

List is stupid because some of those places aren't even national chains.

It’s not because of Taco Bell.

Taco Bell is disgusting

From Google- I'm a little surprised that there are 0 sandwich shops on the list. Also, Whataburger is better than all of them

Judging by how few Taco Bells there are in my neighborhood and the low level of traffic in the drive through and parking lot, I'm probably not alone in saying I have not eaten at one in the past month.
It's probably been 4 years since I've eaten at one and that's only because I had 15 minutes to spare to eat while out of town and it was the closest option.
That was probably the only time in 10 years for me.

Fifteen years ago, McDonald's would have probably been No. 1, but I read about six months ago that McDonald's inside sales have fallen so much, that it's going to start building them with much smaller dining rooms and focus mainly on drive thru. I only go there a couple of times a year, but they have the worst drive thru in the business.
I am a little shocked at how many people did not eat at Taco Bell at all. I'm not saying it's gourmet, but it's cheap, taste decent, but the drive thru is quick, so that's a big plus in my book.
The restaurant I was shocked was not on it was Subway. Not too long ago, I read Subway was one of the fastest growing franchises in the country, but maybe things have slowed down a little bit. I was also a little surprised Whataburger was not on the list, too.

McDonald's food has never been good but the quality decreases exponentially each year. We have one kid that likes it so I could occasionally tolerate it but now it is just awful. Even in the south the iced tea is soured and old most of the time. I used to sometimes get an unsweetened iced tea when they wanted a snack but now even that is a nope. At least chick fil a has good tea most of the time. I can only tolerate taco bell vegetarian menu. Their meat is too weird.
