Amazing lack of investigative ability.
There should at least a dozen statements taken from that security detail. Some understanding of why he wasn't removed should be apparent.

This is the same executive branch, through their very public statements and from both the VP's and Pres's mouth, indicated that they had immunity from assassinations and murder thanks to the SCOTUS.

Honest answer and not his usual filibustering. Plenty to bag on Wray for over the years especially regarding Trump but they are the the investigative arm and unlike the disgraced one, in this instance, can honestly say that the investigation is ongoing.

Because that's a question for the Secret Service to answer and if he started asking them those questions, he'd find out things that he doesn't want to know. The FBI wants to remain blissfully ignorant to any info that doesn't corroborate with the "lone gunman acting alone" narrative.
It's easy to not find anything, if you intentionally don't look at certain people.
