Do they get love on here? I figured probably so, but haven't looked much.
Their deer sausage with pineapple, jalapeno and cheddar is
I've had some beef smoked sausage they do as well, but it's fairly dry in comparison to the deer pineapple. That shite is "juicy juicy like the poosy poosy" to quote a great former hamburger griller close to LSU's campus back in the day.

We like it, but it's just about to only place close by to eat so there's that.

Really liked the new location in McComb when it first opened, the quality of beef they had was unreal, had a butcher that cut to order and I could always count on friendly service and top quality steaks.....not sure what happened but it is "different" now
I have only eaten the hot food there once or twice and it was good

Never bought any meat there, but that buffet sure hit the spot for sure after sitting in a tree stand all day.

They've always done a good job. Good place.

Grew up eating their smoked sausage so there is the nostalgia factor for me. I’ll make the drive to grab some sausage from there. Usually eat there a few times during hunting season between hunts also.
They have been making brisket burnt end sausage and putting it on a hot dog bun near the hot plates. It is easily one of the best things I have ever eaten.

Can you go to Sonic? I must pound and beat on you for mentioning that place. You're not worthy of it if you are mentioning it. Repeat after me: I was wrong to make up a name like that. I regret my choice of words about an establishment that does not exist.
No one is supposed to know or mention that slice of gluttonous nirvana....no one....especially the alleged location in Centreville

We went to the seafood buffet a decade or so ago. It was ok, but I remember they charged extra for snow crabs. It does have the distinction of being the first place my son ever ate crab (which are now one of his favorite foods).

The pork chop is some fine. I will drive out of my way to get it.

haha fair enough. Let's just say my work travels take me right by this mythical place about once every 4-6 weeks, and, hypothetically speaking, I get really goosed up thinking about the alleged venison pineapple jalapeno cheddar deer sausage smoking on a grill I definitely don't have. Figured this was the place to spread fake news. I was just trying to misinform everyone with lies and tomfoolery. Nothing to see here. Or in Centreville.

I remember my first raw oyster with my dad at the beach when I was a little one. You could filter the mighty Mississippi with oysters I've put away since then.

The buffet and cooked meals are pretty good. The sausage as well; however, “fresh” meats such as hamburger/steaks and roasts are SUBSTANDARD as there is nothing fresh about them.

I’ve been going since the restaurant was a Sears store. I’d say the mid 80’s.
We still go to the Centreville store every so often for lunch. The buffet is good but I’m nostalgic and always get a cheeseburger basket. The McComb store is about 20 minutes from my house and does a great business. Glad to see them succeed . I believe that Benny (owner) posts here from time to time.

I haven't tried any of that stuff yet. Working/living in and around the Cajun Prairie, I find all the beef I need in this area.
So far I've had some Vine's beef and deer sausage, some of their smoked sausage dogs off the heat lamp, some pickled quail eggs, and some short ribs that were just ok.

I grew up in Centreville and have seen it go from a small gas station selling only breakfast out of a small window to where it is now.
The food has always been great, but something you wouldn’t want to eat on a daily basis. The deer sausage is the star of the show to me. I agree that there meats used higher quality and much more fresh. However, it’s what Centreville has and it’s makes a killing especially during deer season. Also; the Vine family are good, hard working people.
All in all a great place and I’m surprised at how many people I meet that know of Centreville because of Vine’s. Kinda like how people know Woodville because of Illusions.

Centreville
Used to have it spelled "Centreville" on one side of the water tower and "Centerville" on the other.
Been so long since I last ate at Vines I'm sure my statute of review limitations has expired.
