Seeing a lot of reviews that say it "delivers on the hype".

Trailers give me hope.
And the way most people view Disney/Marvel these days they are pretty honest if it sucks. So I see this as good.

Currently at 79% with 128 reviews, but like the last 2 Deadpools, the top critics (63.2%) are rating it much lower than the non-top critics (85.6%). When I’ve observed this in the past, the audience tends to have higher ratings, in line or often even higher than the non-top critics.

Yeah, audiences will love it but top critics don't seem to care for it

Whatever, it'll be fun and there isn't much else that looks good right now except maybe twisters. I still stand by my prediction of it not breaking any records.

Must not be many tranny’s or gays if the top critics don’t like it.
Guessing a lot of action/death too.

Sounds good to me!

Obviously. No way it could be the Shawn Levy of it all and reliance on cameos, like the complaints actually present in those reviews.

As someone who has had the misfortune of sitting through multiple Shawn Levy-directed movies, it's hard to get excited for this.

I don't know anything about him.

But I honestly do trust Ryan Reynolds with this character. I believe he actually loves the character and wants to do it justice.
Not to mention Disney/Marvel knows it's on thin ice.

If you dislike the movie I suspect the general audience score should be pretty good.

My impression is that your idea of a good time is something approximating mastrubating with sandpaper.

Got a 54 on metacritic, unfortunately. Maybe I should temper my expectations? I'm not surprised given the fact that review embargo lifted 3 days before release.

eh, I don't put any way into "critic" reviews.

Like I said before, they are all about Tranny's, Gays and Superwomen.

I like Jackman's Wolverine character a lot, although he's pushing it now at 55. I don't like Ryan's Deadpool character except for in the early scenes of the Wolverine origin movie. His mouth was a little humorous to me then and the scene coming out of the elevator is pretty good.

I don't think I will see it.

Wait... am I reading this right?

The only time you liked Reynolds as Deadpool was in the Wolverine Origin movie?

Meaning you think his performance in that movie was more appealing to you than Deadpool 1 & 2?

I don't even know what to say. I just can't imagine that being someone's opinion of Deadpool.

Like Date Night, Real Steel, Night at the Museum, and Cheaper by the Dozen?

His movies tend to do poorly with critics, but really well with audiences. His audience scores are high.

I won't see it in theaters, but can't wait to see once it goes digital.

I will say, the first couple of peeks/trailers made it look like an outright comedy, whereas the final trailer make it look more serious/story driven. I wonder if the latter is true and thats why the lower reviews.
