I wonder if people will bitch in a few years that First Lady Melania should stay home so that Secret Service will have enough people to protect the Democrat candidate? I don’t think that’s a safe bet.

They probably won't have to bitch about it because the person in charge of the SS will actually deserve to be in that position and will have everything lined up accordingly. Unlike the DEI hire that just left.

I think the modern exception was Bill Clinton because the Olympics were here in Atlanta in 1996.
