Why is Michelle such a threat?

I have heard for months that the best candidate that the democrats can run is Michelle- big Mike- Obama. I never saw her as remarkable in any way either as a speaker or thought leader. She doesn’t strike me as particularly political.
Yet it seems like the democrats are beside themselves at the thought of her running.
Ted Cruz said tonight that he thought it could be her and she’d be the biggest threat to Trump.
