9 a year is not a bad deal for him.

Happy for him. He’s going to make almost double his career earnings in 1 year.

Naji deserves it and will make the Mavs a better team. I definitely wish him all the best -- he earned that $27 million the hard way.

And if the Mavs move on from Jones Jr, that would put Naji in their starting line up.

It’ll be interesting to see how he adjusts in dallas. Willie gave him more freedom to handle the ball- I don’t think he will get that in dallas.

I’m happy for him though and appreciate his hard work and attitude here.

I’ll definitely miss Naji. I fully expect him to go ham on us every time we play them.

Another contract we should have offered. We just lost 2 dogs for nothing in NBA value. frick I wanted Naji to stay now Dallas gets even better.

We should’ve kept him for that price. He’s a great fit on dallas

$9M/year for a once every 10 games spark is a luxury we can probably afford to lose given our current tax situation

I mean y’all want to blow things up and then we move on from someone and you want him to stay. He’s a good hustle guy. We have one of those already.

Are y’all for trollin? Lol great udfa find for sure, but his best talents were overshadowed by dudes who were better at those things with similar size. It’ll probably work better for him in Dallas.

The mavs just don’t have the issue of too many wings and could use a jack of all trades. With us he’s a “break glass if everyone gets hurt” guy. He’s worth $9M/year somewhere, just not here

It's going to be so gratifying watching him try and go Naji Jordan against us and erase a Dallas lead.

Jose? They don't play the same positions.

Naji makes no sense on our team right now, but if we trade BI, he would have ben a really important 3/4 bench player.

We’re about to not have enough wings. We lost Dyson, Naji is gone, and BI will be gone any day now.

Unless we get wings back in the BI trade, herb and Trey are the only true wings on this team

In the traditional sense, yeah, although I’d be hesitant to think we don’t get back a servicable wing, or at least a guy who can play one of the other spot well for BI. Unless it’s for something pretty damn big, we probably get a few quality/josh hart-ish type guys in return. The best being a center, but I’d expect at least one guy who’s workable at the 2 or 3.

I don’t think having 2 true wings is an issue when you have so many combo guards and Zion who can play 3, 4 and 5 for stretches. Even with losing the the two, possibly 3 guys you mentioned, I still wouldn’t have expected many extra Naji minutes next year

Crazy, we’ve reached a point where reading “we only have 3 true starting wings on the team” doesn’t read like something written in ancient Sumerian.

I know shite can be frustrating, but thank god we got better. I know Praying for Quincy Pondexter’s knees to unexplode so we could field a team that would ultimately get demolished in the playoffs was a lot of fun and all. And We all know how grateful we are for Solomon hill, but stilll, this is nice
