It’s the 21st pick, nothing has happened with BI yet, FA hasn’t happened, Summer League hasn’t started etc. For all we know we could trade BI tomorrow. The constant whining and bickering is getting old. Griff is better at non lottery selections anyway. Though I suspect for the BI haters he will get the the extension. Hopefully we write it similarly to the Zion contract and not for the full max. Hopefully around 40 per with incentives to get to full max and guarantees if he makes an all star team or all nba.

Why the Melt?

Because Louisiana sports culture is infested with fickle fans that love to hear themselves bitch about everything.

Maybe because Louisiana sports organizations operate like a mom and pop shop of mediocrity instead of trying to make an honest effort in trying to win a championship.

Nola fans have given griff the benefit year after year. However there’s not much difference in him and loomis. Owners should just threaten a sell and maybe gm decisions can be made by the league once again.

Sorry, the coach is sub par, the staff is sub par, the draft is sub par and they miss opportunities to have cap room but fail again.

Piss poor.

I hope Zion pulls a fingernail and goes to recovery in the Bahamas for the entire season.

No one wants to be here, but that’s multiplied when your washed up pg Is prepping to be an analyst, organization can’t resign a a 13 mill a year, accountable center, and then eventually blow tens of millions on a mediocre wing.

I said it in the other thread, but yeah. We took a guy with a lot of upside at a position of need. Almost all rookies suck, even those generally considered "NBA ready", so I don't know why people thought we would get someone who would be a significant contributor this season.

And Missi was heavily mocked to us. Christian Clark had him as our most likely pick, so nothing about last night was a surprise.

I guess that some people are melting because we didn't make the big trade last night, but the big trade didn't have to happen last night.

You obviously didn’t listen to that shitter of a press conference afterwards. That’s what the melt is about.

What specifically about what Griff said bothers you so much?

Who freaking cares what they say publicly? It’s meaningless.

That he's done NOTHING to make this franchise better since the Cousins trade!

This board is absolute swill.

Almost as bad as Saints Talk.

Imagine the melt if BIngram signed for what Anunoby got today.

Because we have exactly three guys with any heart and toughness on the team and we're losing two of them.

Now we have Jose.

Also, the Pels had three goals this summer:

1. Move BI to open up a starting slot for Trey and attain assets to acquire:
2. A new athletic C
3. A PG

So far we're 0-3. And our competition all got better. Even the fricking Lakers.

We've seen teams with much worse performances fire coaches/GMs, yet our guys bolt for fricking Detroit and the yes men left over get promoted.

Not exactly inspiring.

I don't recall the Pelicans ever winning a superbowl or anything of equal value..

We have been to the playoffs 4x in the last (13) seasons:

0-4
0-4
2-4
4-0 1-4

Maybe the melt isn't warranted yet but I also have little trust in our FO to make the right moves.

"So far" like 1 day into the offseason

Did y'alll see what SA got for the 8th pick? Nobody valued picks in this shitty draft. A deal not getting done by the draft means literally nothing other than our pick had no value for a trade.

The big piece this offseason (Paul George) likely has to be moved before anyone else of note is moved. Then there are other lesser players who may impact the market, like Garland, Allen, etc.

The Lakers hired a rookie coach and LeBron has not re-signed with them.

The offseason just began and free agency hasn’t even begun. This is the perfect example of melting. Our fans are worse that PMSing women!

Don’t know about all that. Soggymoss said this was still a good draft and said DD was worth less than a pick in the 20’s….

Because we all wanted Knecht and of course we couldn't give up a ham sandwich to get him. Terrible.
