Shipping times are just incredible

Bought wife some surprise pajamas, opted for the 7 day delivery. Received in two days (the 2 day option was an additional $25!)
Bought a part for a vehicle late Saturday, website estimated a little over a week. I'm receiving tomorrow. Once again, I didn't pay for express shipping.
Amazon Prime is 1 day delivery for tons of junk these days.
Moral of this story, God BLESS America and don't pay extra for expedited shipping. You're gonna get fast regardless.

Yes I am having things regularly delivered super quickly now prime or not. Prime has reset the market for shipping times with people basically demanding it if you want them tk shop outside of Amazon.
Of course this is all getting baked into the price now but still it is nice.

Where are you that you’re getting your Amazon deliveries on time? 1 out of 3 Amazon purchases are days late or never arrive for me lately.

That’s why there are warehouses all over the country now. Stuff is being shipped shorter differences now.

Suburbs of Birmingham, never have a problem. Several amazon warehouses have popped up here over the past few years that I can only assume speeds up delivery for the stuff we order. Where do you live?

When I'm driving through Wyoming ranch country or similar and see a house way out on the boonies, I often wonder if the UPS and FedEx drivers hate them, or perhaps enjoy a long drive to break up the day.

I ordered a new golf club last Monday. The official website said 2 week estimated lead time. I got it in 4 days. It seems many online orders are arriving very quickly lately.

I’d say this happens for me about 1/3 of the time, it arrives on time 1/3, and late as frick 1/3.
It really pisses me off when deliveries aren’t on time, most of the time I don’t even need it that fast but for example on Prime I may choose the faster one intentionally and then when it shows up late it’s very frustrating.
At the same time, I don’t know how any online company can compete without being able to get something in stock shipped in under 3 days. I’ve ordered fairly normal items and take 7-10 days just to ship out.

We order a ton from UPS and FedEx at work for a small business and sometimes I feel bad, then guess what I do. I remember that’s their fricking job! How can they be mad at you for a delivery? Without me, they’d have less work

1) depends on where you’re at
And
2) it’s because a lot of people aren’t buying shite right now so there is slack in the supply chain

I think it depends on proximity to a distribution center. We live within 30 minutes of two of them and we often get next day for no additional charge.

On the opposite end of the spectrum I give you the USPS - still cannot find its caboose with a map, GPS, and a flashlight in broad daylight

All the lefties hate capitalism until they figure out it's how they get their Palestine flags so quickly in time for the short notice riot.
