Since he’s in the news

1. Open Range-his best imo
2. Bull Durham
3. Dances With Wolves

Also on a side note I always liked The Postman. Very underrated. Not as bad as everyone says.

Robin Hood may be a top five Costner movie for me if only because of his supporting actors and the score.

I can agree with this list though. Open Range is an elite western.

Honorable mention to "Mister Brooks" where he plays a guy leading a mainstream corporate life and has a serial killer dark side.....

Bull Durham
The Bodyguard

Not his best three performances, strictly for entertainment value.

Will add Open Range to my watch list. I’m sure it will bump Tin Cup.

But my unpopular take is a resounding no to Field of Dreams. I watched it recently for the first time and it was so hard to watch. It was Disney for an older audience. Such a stupid, unbelievable movie with so many cobbled together parts that didn’t seem to fit.

It was a movie that seemed a perfect fit for Corey Feldman to star in. But maybe that’s a sign of how much Costner elevated it.
