So I am looking for some where to take my wife for our anniversary tomorrow. I saw the thread a few post down, but I think she would prefer steak over a place like Maison Lacour.

So is Ruth Chris the goto or is there a pretty good alternative that anyone would recommend in BR.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Sullivan's has declined a bit, but still good. However, avoid the cajun ribeye at all costs unless you enjoy burnt steak.

French Market Bistro is nice
18 Steak in L'auberge is always great
Ruth's Chris is great

Ruth's Chris
Mansurs
Supper Club
Flemings
Stab's
Little Village

All have decent steaks, but Chris's is the most consistent and best service.

Ruth's has the best steak and professional servers, the atmosphere is old school, better get reservations in advance

Little Village has a sleeper good steak.

Ruth’s is good and the most consistent I would recommend going 1 step lower on how you like it cooked because it has so kuch carry through cooking o. that hot arse plate

Does on government is good. But not the type of place you need to wear a jacket or dress up for. Good drinks as well.

Ruth’s is the best, but … you are looking for somewhere to go for your anniversary and it’s tomorrow?

Ruth’s has 5pm and 8pm.

Get some dry aged steaks from Iverstine's and cook yourself. Reverse sear. Will be better than any restaurant steak.

I highly recommend the Supper Club if they have any availability. My steak at Ruth's last time was about 30% gristle.

I have always liked the BR Doe’s. It has been several years since I’ve eaten there though. The negative comments are surprising.

It's not the quality of the food. It's the atmosphere (at least for me) in relation to an Anniversary dinner. Doe's is very much a Guys Night Out sit at the bar and drink and eat huge steaks place.

I like the joint.

That being said, I took a woman there once and the whole plastic checkered tablecloths, spartan interior and steaks by the pound vibe didn't go over well at all.

I understand that for sure. I was just wondering if the food quality is not what it used to be. Thanks.

Supper club had the best filet I’ve had in BR in a few years.

Nothing else there would be worth going back for, but damn that steak was incredible.

Fleming’s is legit
Ruth’s Chris is also legit

Both are outstanding, flip a coin and go with whatever comes up
