Do you go to multiple nights of the same concert?

I never knew this was a thing until recently. I've been going to concerts and live shows my whole life and never felt the urge to go see the same artist multiple nights in a row.

I have no issue with it, just never realized people did this.

It really only makes sense with bands that play different songs and sets every night. Mostly jam bands. I've only done multi-night runs of Phish, Panic, String Cheese, and Billy Strings. Probably a few other bands I cannot remember.

Many, if not all, in the jam band genre play different setlists for multi night runs at the same venue. I have seen WP and Phish in multi night runs more times than I can count. Grateful Dead did it as well.

That's probably why I never realized it. I'm not really into that genre of music.

I would've seen MMJ multiple nights at the Fillmore in San Fran this week if I could. No repeated songs helps, but they're just that good live.

I did it once - saw Wilco at the Saenger one night, then saw them at Jazz Fest the next day. It was a pretty different experience between seeing them in a theatre vs. playing outdoors in the daytime. I think they switched up the set list quite a bit.
I'm not a jam band guy, but I would be open to seeing Pearl Jam two nights in a row.
There was a great story years ago about how Kate Bush returned to performing live by doing something like 20 shows at a theatre in London -- and Big Boi from Outkast bought tickets to like 18 of the gigs.

The only time I’ve done this was on a music cruise. None of the bands I saw played the same set the next show.

Saw both Pearl Jam shows in Ft Worth last year. They played 60 songs total and only shared 2 songs between the 2 sets. It was pretty awesome.

I used to go to back to back shows in the Golden age of Widespread Panic (before Mike Houser died).

To old and lazy now. Only one I would do that now for is maybe Todd Snider, and he's sidelined due to back problems.

No. Seems like a strange thing to do and setting oneself up for a letdown.

if the show you are seeing is the standard play by numbers setlist then yes there’s no reason to go twice. The bands I like don’t do that though so I go every night I can

I’ve already done 3 and 4 night runs almost every month this year (and going back to back tonight and tomorrow night).

I've done it a few times. If a band I like is playing shows near me, why not?

Actually did when we went to Kansas City for the Taylor swift concert. Wife bought tickets when the went on sale the year before for the Saturday night. We booked a hotel in downtown for Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. After doing research I found out Kansas City doesn’t have anything to do there so except bbq joints.

The week before the concert they released new tickets and I was able to get tickets for the Friday night concert. 8 rows up in the bottom bowl directly center stage for a cheaper price than what the wife got in the upperbowl for Saturday night.

Probably wouldn’t travel somewhere for multiple shows, but if it falls in my lap it’s not a bad thing to do.

Only if you are seeing shitty bands that play the same setlist every night.
