I might pump up the guns before I hit the beach but that's about it, maybe go for a run to prove to the wife that I'm not hungover.

Those people make me feel like a real piece of shite when I pass by at 9am drinking a sauce headed to the beach.

i'll hit the gym occasionally if i can't run on a trip, but usually i'm eating fairly poorly and drinking more than normal. can't outrun a bad diet, but better than nothing.
other answer, i love running in towns i haven't been before, especially downtowns if possible in the morning.
in the last 10ish years i've got to run downtown San Antonio, Forth Worth, McAllen, Boston, Portland, Maine, Portsmouth, NH, Flagstaff, San Diego, Vegas, NYC, Steamboat Springs, Denver, and some others I'm sure I'm missing.
Fun to see a city when it's not bustling with drunks and nightlife while it's quiet.
i stayed out with a few guys at a conference we were trying to win over till 1 AM and he said he'd pay the bill if i actually went and ran in the morning and was in the booth at 8 AM. knocked out an 8 miler and showed him the strava and he stayed to his word.
he tells people that story all the time as we're friends now.
although that was as a 31 year old. little more difficult to pull that in my 40s.

Have you ever vacationed with a wife and 3 kids? It's a workout just getting the shite down to the beach.

Love to run early in the morning to explore a new area while on vacation.

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't.

Depends, we were gifted a cruise last year, and I worked out while on that, but typically no.

I don't hate myself, but I'm not also a "cruise person", so I was pretty bored on the ship. It gave me something to do.

On vacay in Anna Maria Island and ran 4.5 miles this morning. It was hot humid and I was hungover from too many bourbons. But, got it done and don’t feel like a complete POS.

I don't lift but I still run in the morning if I'm at the beach
Most of my vacations involve hiking and shite. I work out so I can enjoy my hobbies more. Being out of shape makes everything more difficult.

Vacation naps are magical.
Up at daylight, a good jog some stretches, couple pieces of fruit and sausage for breakfast. Hot shower and naptime. Usually wake up again about the same time as my teens.

If the resort has facilities, yes otherwise I will just try to enjoy my "rest days."

Only at the beach, in the mornings, because I usually wake up before everyone else and I want to get a good pump, baw
Eta: usually I wake feeling guilty for my gluttonous behavior from the day before so I try to burn as many calories as I can. It helps me enjoy the upcoming gluttony for the current day

Vegas,
like what time we talking about? the side walks are filed with construction and smelly homeless folk and tourists stopping in the middle of the walkways. Even walking trying to dodge people is a chore.
And then all the go up the stairs then down the stairs, unlesss you are just running in traffic.

Pretty much always. It’s one of life’s great pleasures.
