I need you to explain this one to me.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I roll for the whole concert.

Prior to the late 90's with the building of new updated arena's with assigned seats & suites this didn't happen. Back in the 80's when I started going to shows there were no assigned seats & complete open floor. You get there when the doors open you get the best spots on the floor & in the seats. The place was packed for the opening acts. Complete debauchery.
Now everyone with assigned seats are hanging out drinking in the lounges in the arena or bars/restaurants outside the arenas/stadiums & then come in for the headliner. Just another of the many reasons shows today aren't as fun.

I’d imagine that they only want to see the band that they paid to see? What is the mystery here?

sometimes I prefer to stay in the lot tailgating than to see the opening act I care nothing about.
i'm going to 2 widespread shows this weekend. i doubt I go in until opening act quits playing.

Went to see Morgan Wallen at Minute Maid park. Hardy opened up for him. Hardy has a “couple” of good country songs but most of his music was screaming hard rock type shite. If I had known, I would have showed up just for Morgan. Frick that loud screaming arse shite you can’t even understand the words.

Margo Price is the opener tomorrow. She’s not bad to check out

People do what they want with their money. Pretty simple.
You can choose which headliner you want to see, but you can’t choose the opening act.
I generally go to the whole show, but have no issue with those that don’t.

We would go wait all day in line in the 90's, now I just buy early entry tickets. Hell, one concert they held rail spots for us while we met the band.

I saw a very unknown Linkin Park open for Kottonmouth Kings. That was worth it.

You seriously can’t crack that code?

Dude. Panic hasn’t had an opener since I can’t remember when. Paul Cauthen is gonna be awesome. Margo isn’t my favorite but it’s gonna be a great collaboration.
I had tickets but couldn’t make it work. Have fun bruh.

When you first take your seat, you will notice that several of the musicians may already be on stage. Don’t worry; you’re not late. The musicians are warming up and reviewing their music before the concert begins.
Casual concerts with general admission, absolutely. An orchestra or something, they may make you wait until between songs.
Most artists appreciate applause at any time during a performance. Until the late 19th century and even into the 20th century, it was customary for audiences to applaud at the end of every section of a given piece, and some movements were even given an immediate encore if the applause was great enough. Modern audiences, however, tend to wait until the end of an entire work to clap. Why? Holding applause between movements is considered to be respectful to the performers’ concentration and mindful of musical continuity.

And a ticket wad anywhere from $17-$20 for some pretty big acts. I paid $20 for Def Leppard tickets back in 1988. Now a cheap seat ticket will cost you whichever is your least favorite testicle and a pint of blood, and $150……

I just had a week of BBQ festival, now two WSP shows, a wedding & graduation next weekend, and then off to Las Vegas for 3 Dead shows.
A) I am old
B) I am very, very tired.
I will most likely remain in the lot tailgating for WSP.
