Blew two chances to beat the Buckeyes in the late ‘80s. This game and the next year in Columbus where the Tigers were up 13 in the closing minutes and lost.

I worked with one of the back judges who worked the game. There was a second half fumble call that went against us (no replay back then) when I asked him about it the next week he said- “yea we missed that one.” Would not have been a tie if they got call correct.

The weekend before or after that game was a tough game with Florida two great games

I remember the titanic hit LSU's LB, Eric Hill, laid on the Ohio State wide receiver
Hill was a mean looking SOB and was very good too.

neither coach wanted to be the first to let his team take the field?

Wasn’t there a stand-off when neither coach wanted to be the first to let his team take the field?
Yes and almost every home game since then my Dad thinks there's "stand off".
I also remember they hung a "Jumbotron" from a crane outside the stadium behind the south endzone!

We made up for it in the 2007 national championship game! Our offense went through them like a hot knife through butter.

Was that the game they filmed at halftime for “Everybody’s All American”?

Funny story, the game was on tape delay on tv (crazy that they used to do that). I was at work listening to it on the radio. When they tied, I went up front and told a co-worker I would bet $20 on LSU if he gave me one point. Another co-worker was so sure I was trying to con him that I told him I would bet him $20 and take OSU if he gave me a point also. They never even thought about a tie or it being over already. They were always screwing me over so I was happy to take that $40. To this day, they don’t know how I did it. lol. Hope they aren’t on here. lol.

The crowd leaving Tiger Stadium is usually loud and celebrating a win or loud and complaining about a loss. After that tie, everyone filed out in relative silence like a funeral.

Was there as a student. They made it a North vs South thing. Tommy Clapp got into it with some Buckeyes at the coin flip if I remember correctly…… day game that was so electric!

I remember the days when we use to play ND. There were some tough games. We would sich the Chinese bandits on them. Those were long ago.

Was a freshman in high school looking forward all week to the cbs broadcast. My cheap arse dad (RIP) wouldn’t get us cable, so I listened to WWL growing up when so many games were on espn. This still remains as one of my worst “losses” as a Tiger fan. Started out making it look so easy but shot ourselves in the foot too many times. The refusal to come out of the tunnel pushed OSU into my top 5 of most hated teams. They since fell out after giving us Joey Heisman.

If this is the 13-13 tie, I was in attendance.
I remember Tommy Hodson responding to a reporter who gave the old cliche that "a tie is like kissing your sister."
Tommy said "Not really. My sister is pretty."

Andolsek told them to put their helmets on, he was gonna start some shite. I think he and Spielman got into it.

What a glorious day, despite the tie. I was a freshman living in Hatcher, right next to the stadium.
My date was feeling a bit frisky, so we left at halftime to the dorm room, threw the windows open, the clothes on the floor, and enjoyed the second half.

All of my cousins who went to Ohio State stayed at my parents house in Baton Rouge, and they all went to the game together. I was living in Virginia Beach at the time, so couldn't go. The outcome probably saved a few lives as my family are major LSU fans and all the kinfolk are Buckeyes.
I was at the 2007 Natty in the Superdome and sent 2nd place cards to the losers in Ohio. Great memories...
