Why are there so many fricking morons in the world?
I'm not talking about the ignorant; I'm talking about bona fide morons...

Exactly my thought. That took entirely too long, why didn't a guard stop them as soon as the hammer and pick came out?

I didn't know that you could get that close to it. I don't think that these people realize that they are driving people away from their cause with this type of stuff.

I saw it at the National Archives and it was in the same kind of case as the Declaration of Independence. You weren't breaking into that with a little hammer and chisel.

Its about destroying iconography of the West. They use different "purposes" to down play western civilization.

Cannot believe it took that long for security to intervene. The British Library exhibit is extemely quiet and the guards monitor you to make sure you aren't taking photographs.

No matter what we do, the energy we need to live our lives is going to rape the earth somehow. There’s no free lunch here weather it’s oil or renewables.

"break open" is pretty generous way to describe that.

Reverend Dr Sue Parfitt, 82, and Judy Bruce, 85, are demanding an emergency plan to stop new oil and gas licenses by 2030.
Real question is, will they be around to see it?

They're only a few years away from being oil themselves.
frick those people. Shoot them with a bean bag gun and let nature take over.

Maybe they should consider how oil and products derived from oil have enriched and improved the lives of hundreds of millions around the world, including improving the lives of the very poor. Poverty around the world is probably at the lowest point in human history and oil and cheap sources of energy are a key contributor to that.
