True but Bernie is a lyricist. Elton wrote the (music) melody. This guy did both.

Who needs a house in Hackensack? Is that all you get for your money?

Not only Christie, but he married Katie Lee (of Food Network fame). He did pretty well for himself.

I see where you're going, but Bernie is strictly a lyricist. Billy does both.

On most instances Bernie Taupin handed Reginald Kenneth Dwight some shite lyrics that Reggie made sound good.
Rotten peaches, rotting in the sun
Seems I've seen that devil fruit since the world begun
Mercy, I'm a criminal, Jesus, I'm the one
Rotten peaches, rotting in the sun

Love the Piano Man song. It reminds me of what I’m sure drinking songs were throughout the ages.

Greatest singer of all time IMO. Happy 75th birthday to a legend.

Unfortunately I always think of Chevy Chase and Vacation when I think of Christy Brinkley. I never forgave for dismissing her rudely and telling his wife "that girl was ugly."

The "Songs in the Attic" has a number of offbeat, yet good, songs. Although "Captain Jack" is the first one to come to mind, I like every song on the album.

I drove passed him incredibly slowly in rush hour traffic in the Hamptons one time in 2002. He was at a stop sign in a gold Mercedes.

Had one song I liked. "Only the Good Die Young"
The rest were boring New Yawker fantasies.

Wife and I went to his concert in New Orleans in 2007. He was great live. One of the best Concerts we have ever been too.
