I highly doubt Russia is interested in plotting an invasion of Taiwan. I'm still not totally sure China will do it - the way things are going, they'll end up with a peaceful union eventually. The CHIPS Act has fallen on its face. We'd better get chip manufacturing going in this country, quickly.

They may be reacting to a growing likelihood of another Trump presidency. Now or never scenario. Given all the CCP military ops that have crossed our Border and our dependence on the Chip manufacturing sector in Taiwan, if China can walk in while the US is essentially out of bullets, why wouldn’t they go now. Instead of waiting for Trump to close the loopholes. Such an invasion cannot be a ‘black swan’ event that can help Biden as it would likely be the final nail in his political coffin.
