And controlled when they reach a certain level of power thereby perpetuating the swamp
It doesn’t matter who replaces the next speaker. They’ll be on video somewhere diddling something or someone after falling for the DC honeypot.
This solves two problems:
1. It ensures whoever arrives in DC is serious and selfless
2. It ensures they won’t end up on video with an underaged human trafficked kid so they can be controlled.

Maybe they were wise to this even back then.
Maybe we should call a constitutional convention and add this requirement to it

I expect the whole sexual blackmail thing is less of a thing than having their entire extended families hooked up with no-show jobs. But how does a congressman prevent his loser brother-in-law from taking a $200k board spot?

Mike Johnson wasn't blackmailed because of kinky sex. He was blackmailed because his son is starting out in the Naval Academy and he wants to see his son succeed.
Mike Johnson son's future success in government was his lever point.

There's too much of both. The sex blackmail isn't as cloak & dagger as people sometimes make it out to be, but it happens. The first month or two for freshmen is dangling different baits to see who bites what. If they find out you're clean they move on, because they don't need everybody, they just need enough.

Yeah but at least you can replace them every 2 years. The Senate only has 1/3 turnover every 2 years. It’s gets the other 2/3 of the senate time to teach the new 1/3 how to become better grifters.

There's NOTHING that the civilian federal LEO and IC perform that couldn't and likely shouldn't be under MILINT.
