When it comes to the greatest endings in movie history, an ending that truly satisfies and rewards the viewers, one particular movie that always comes to my mind is Shawshank Redemption. I won’t say too much as to not spoil the magnificent ending for those who haven’t seen it, but I wanted to ask those who have if you agree with me that it is one of, if not the best, movie endings of all time?

Right up there with the final scene in Devil’s Rejects.

My teenagers have seen SSR like 3 times. Is there anyone who really hasn't seen it at this point?

The ending is great. Everyone loves a comeback story.

I would put it up there with The Usual Suspects. It was like the New York's Finest Taxi Service....everyone took it right in the arse. From the mayor on down. It was beautiful....

ive seen debates on this. is it actually good? you essentially just watched nothing. it's like when a show or movie ends with "it was all a dream"

It's always bothered me that they pan out so quickly and helicopter away in the final shot and then credits.

Do a Casablanca ending, have the bromance get some up close good lines in. dammit!

It's like a happy ending version of the sorrowful...The Third Man....

None of it is real. Anymore than something that happened to you years ago. Do you remember it the way it happened? Or just the way you remember it?

It's a great movie and a great ending. Definitely in my Top 10 list

I don’t know that I would say “best” but for sure one of the most satisfying and fulfilling endings.

You’re completely happy with every outcome.

My condolences on your teens being the last folks to be born, Mr Center of the universe.
