LSU always had an in-person bar prep course.

Tigerdroppings offers a bar review and tutoring class - just ask a legal question and the resident “attorneys” will quickly provide you with a quick answer

Barbri. It ain’t cheap, but it’s effective.
IMO, the in-person prep classes weren’t that helpful to me. What really got me through the bar was working old exams with the solutions.
I went issue by issue, following the following routine for each one:
Step 1: copy the sample answer by hand word for word while looking at it
Step 2: attempt to copy the sample answer again while only glancing at it as few times as possible.
Step 3: try to answer the exact same question in your own words while glancing occasionally at what you wrote before.
Step 4: answer the question without looking at anything.
Step 5: answer another question which uses a different fact pattern but the same basic analysis
Step 6: check the answer from step 5 against the sample answer and grade yourself
Repeat this process for every type of question on the bar.

I remember my bar prep days.
Never again.
Never again.

Do like my buddy did, rent a hotel room for a week, only tell one close person where you are, turn off all devices and just study.
He passed his first attempt.

Leonardo Dicaprio studied for two weeks and passed. But he also banged Amy Adams while pretending to be a doctor.
I also had an acquaintance who told me he had taken the bar exam EIGHT times and still hadn't passed. Great guy, didn't appear to be obviously retarded. Just bad at tests I guess.
I'm not sure if this is any help.

I took the one put on at the LSU Law Center taught by the LSU faculty and it was fine, but that was a long time ago.
The questions on the bar exam are a lot easier than the ones on the law school exams. The problem is you have to know everything at the same time.

Just get the materials and work old tests.
I paid for the classes, but didnt feel like I got much out of them so I stopped going and just worked old tests.
Treat it like a job so you don't go crazy. From 9-5 Monday-Thursday study. On Fridays, stop at 2 or 3 in the afternoon.
Enjoy your weekends
Once you get a couple weeks out, you adjust that schedule based on how you feel preparation-wise.
I did this and passed the first try.
Or do like the other poster said, Graduate in 2000 and you dont have to take it.

I didn't take prep courses in either Louisiana or Texas and passed both on first try.

This is the answer for Louisiana. They do in person lectures in the LSU law school auditorium - I used to film them.
JD Advising was excellent for the UBE, so keep that in mind whenever you decide to leave Louisiana.

Barbri offers online or in person.
The online courses are sufficient if you have the self discipline to do them and do them correctly.

Abagnale forged a transcript from Harvard and applied to take the bar exam. He studied hard, and after failing the exam twice, he passed the Louisiana exam on the third try after eight weeks of studying.

I don't know how Louisiana law schools work but out of state law schools don't just focus on teaching you the laws of their state.
I went to law school out of state. Took the barbri course in that state and passed the bar. A just bought the Barbri books for the Louisiana bar and passed it. North Carolina bar was a whole lot harder than the Louisiana one.
