Bruh, like everything you EVER post is just fricking trolling. I don't understand how you can remain motivated unless you are clearly mentally deficient.
Every damn time. I wish I could bottle whatever it is that keeps you going because though extremely irritating, it's fairly amazing.
Weird melt, but OK.

That money doesn’t directly go to CATS but money is fungible and St George paying so much for two of BR’s biggest budget items sure frees up a lot of money for other crap.
Right, but currently CATS is "self-funded" through property taxes and grants. Self-funded as in not receiving money from the City Parish Government.
Is Broome/City Hall allowed to take money from the CATS budget and put it towards the general fund?
I guess that's where I'm saying I don't understand how the rules/laws work. If the budgets for CATS is cut and all of a sudden CATS is operating at a surplus. Can that $ be put towards the general fund or does it have to stay within the CATS system?

Short version - BR’s police and fire budgets are HEAVILY subsidized by St George. Lacking that money means BR has to replace it from somewhere, either through increased taxes in BR or cutting spending such as on CATS or other dog and pony shows that SWB et all use to buy votes.
Be honest. What do you think happens?
BR to act responsibly and live within its means and replace lost police and fire funding from other places? Or complain blame st George and let the PD and FD fall woefully underfunded and make a bad crime situation worse.
I sincerely hope it’s the former but think it will be the latter.

This doesn't fix the demographics of the schools or pull in the private school children, but the bar is set low, don't see how they couldn't incrementally improve. My kids will never see a public school in this State, nor will many others.
Redemptorist lost a lot of kids to Central when it got its ISD. I wonder if there will be another decline in private school numbers when StG ISD is formed vs adults who might move into StG prior to having kids instead of moving to Ascension or Livingston.

This, but at a point the state may move to dissolve BRPD and let Sheriff Gautreaux run all law enforcement in the parish.
The damage that Murphy Paul, SWB, and the Brave Cave shite have done to BRPD may make it easier to kill it and form a new one down the road than to keep the existing one.

Another question regarding how to pay for BRPD. Who has the authority to merge BRPD into EBRSO? Would this have to come from the Governor/Legislature?
Minor conspiracy time, but I wonder if Broome and Landry came to an "agreement". Broome votes Landy's way in the constitutional convention and Landry will help push for EBRSO to take over BRPD (and all of the budget issues that comes with it.)

removing economy and opportunity that funds the outer-lying areas like STG.
Guess they'll have to start holding themselves accountable to get crime under control so businesses choose to invest in BR proper. There's no lack of opportunity, the clowns in charge have had opportunity for decades. Not StG's fault they choose to squander it.

The one thing St. George is kidding itself about is not having to increase taxes though. You want a high-functioning, suburban school district, you are going to have to increase property taxes.
This really bothered me that they kept lying about this to the supporters, it has to increase just like it doubled in Zachary and Central. I don't necessarily think that this would of negatively affected the support either if they just would of been transparent about it. It made me think they were either liars or never made a real budget.

Depends on a number of factors.
Given BRPD’s legal troubles, they may end up getting forced to dissolve because they can’t find an insurance carrier willing to cover the department at a rate they can afford.
Sorrento PD dissolved in the last few years after some problems including some costly car wrecks by department employees. Ascension Parish SO had to take over patrolling there.

Yes, I heard about the four families that lived in Central when Redemptorist closed...
I think there has never been a time in our country where a state education had worst implications than now (tranny story time etc..) . So I'd be shocked if you saw more than a 5% migration from public schools. But for St George's sake I hope it happens and it's successful.

LA politicians in general are greedy frickers who want to grift any business attempting to open there. BR appears to be particularly bad on that one given all the reports on delays involved with getting things approved here as opposed to most other places.

You did not ask me this question but I will give my opinion anyway. Unfortunately, I am going with option 2.

No one knows this. No one knows how many students they might get. Private schools are far more prevalent in SBR than in Central or Zachary.
And I don’t believe school taxes doubled in either ISD. But to raise taxes the people have to vote to do it, and I’d feel better voting with my neighbors on school taxes and not voting on new taxes with all of BR.

Broome let BRPD decay already. They are way short of officers now.
I believe BRFD is fine although there’s an article in today’s paper as bout raising property taxes to give firefighters a raise.

If St. George puts a moratorium on multi family complexes it can be a good thing. Nothing can destroy an area faster than big apartment complexes wherein the owner after a while due to economic concerns finds himself being compelled to start taking Section 8.
Section 8 begins the ghettoization of an area. See N.O. East and Metairie and parts of Kennuh Bruh!

The City of St. George will not provide funding for a new school system - that will come from property taxes within the school district. The City of Central does not fund the Central Community School District; it is funded by property taxes collected within the school district. Central voters did approve additional property taxes to support the school system but the city of Central does not assess a property tax mileage, has not raised taxes since its incorporation and it has a budget surplus. St. George plans to use the same government model as Central.

I am referring to increasing property taxes if St. George gets an ISD. As to the current incorporation, which does not include an ISD, St. George is projected to run a surplus in Year One.

We (StG) have paid to build a whole host of new schools in EBR over the past decade or more, and exactly ONE of those was actually built in the City of St. George. I’m not worried about our ability to fund and run an efficient ISD now that SWB won’t be spending all our money north of Florida Blvd.

Section 8.
The residents need to be forewarned of its destructive force.
Is there a way this new city can permanently disallow Section 8 housing within it?

My biggest gripe with Louisiana is that there will be 15 small high schools instead of like 3 massive ones. I get we are spread out but this district isn't that big. So 1 massive
high school or 2 large ones. Maybe 2-3 middle and elementary schools.
Seems like too many schools causes overspending. I could be wrong.
